If you have a son or daughter stationed there and if they just returned from a deployment don't count on being able to get a slot during the winter, it seems that the snow birds who move there during the winter have priority. I shouldn't be so mad, as this is true for every FamCamp in the military. Overall the camp was OK, they even came by to make sure we were leaving when we said, or to remind us to LEAVE.

This reviewer may have missed something. Active duty are allowed to make reservations for a FHU site, where the snowbirds are not. There is a strict 30 day limit in a partial or FHU site, then you need to rotate to dry-camping and start over on the waiting lists. This rotation rule applies to EVERYONE, except the 2 camp hosts. The reviewer was probably asked if they were leaving as scheduled, since someone else was on the waiting list for their site.

This CG operates very fair in all respects, the rotation is great. If you want to check into a CG and stay on the same spot, go to a private campground. I'm sure the SNOWBIRDS would not miss you.

It sounds as if this reviewer expected a special deal above and beyond all other non active duty campers - just because a family member is stationed at Patrick. Everyone lives by the same rules - no one is "special" to get a "special" deal.

This reviewer was not being told to "leave", the host was being courteous to see if they did plan to leave or wanted to extend. The "snowbirds" do NOT have "priority", everyone has identical rules. The reviewer needs to live by the same rules as everyone else without demanding more.
