The price went up because all the other campers have to pay for all of the volunteers who get free rent. There has to be at least 15 freeloaders between Sigsbee and Trumbo. I can't believe that MWR lets the management get away with losing all this money. If you figure $630.00 a month for each volunteer, and you just say that there are 10 of them that is $6,300 per month that MWR is losing. I also wonder if they file a IRS form 1099 for the income that they are receiving. Just thought I'd throw this out there, let us know how you other retires feel.

simple rule pay rent

Clearly you have never work camped in return for "free" rent. The "wages" are so far below minimum wage as to be laughable. It is basically volunteering for a small stipend - which is "free" camping.

Instead of complaining try being one of the camp hosts - THEN you will really moan and whine won't you?
