There are 2 FAMCAMPs (Camp Robbins & Postl Point) on Eglin AFB proper. They are both operated by the same office with very nice staff. This review is for Postl Point. Postl Point is the older CG in a spectacular location with water view everywhere. Great fishing from the shore. Sites have CATV, water and 30 amp (50 amp rigs are not permitted at Postl Point, even with adapters). There are 20 sites, lots of grass and gravel at the parking site. BBQ grills on each site. Campfires not permitted. Reservations are not accepted...check in with the FAMCAMP office at the Camp Robbins facility near the PX/Commissary. There are bathrooms with showers and a laundry facility. There is a dump station. Propane is available at the marina near the entrance of the CG. The CG is at sea level so a storm can cause evacuation. Not many trees so satellite will work fine. Pets are fine with the usual rules. The CG is next to a beach on the Bay operated by Outdoor Recreation. We would give it a 5 for views and a 3-4 for hookups. ---- This review is for Camp Robbins. Camp Robbins is the newer CG. We did not stay here but drove through several times. Facilities look very nice with gravel sites. The brochure says full hookups but since we did not stay there, we cannot vouch for that. Fairly open but good separation between sites. Propane is next to the FAMCAMP office. Very close to the Commissary/PX complex and to Bay access (would need a car/bike or bit of a hike). We would give it a 4 for the facilities but a 3 for the views just our preferences.
