1. Park Quality - The park is pretty well maintained. Laundry and bathrooms are cleaned daily. The laundry is free and works well. As with much of the surrounding area, it’s mostly sand with very little dirt. One area that needs significant attention is the “grassy” areas. Scruffy and overgrown with lots of gopher activity. 2. Sites - Most sites are concrete pads with W/S/E. (There are a few sites with no sewer and a few sites that are dirt/gravel) The sites seem to be fairly level left to right but the front to back is a crap shoot. There are some sites that have a severe slope while others are almost level. I’d recommend you have plenty of leveling blocks just in case you get one of the severely sloped sites. Also, this may be a bigger issue for Class A/B/C’s than travel trailers or fifth wheels. Also, some sites are very narrow, barely allowing for stairs to be deployed, while others are almost double wide. Each site has a fire pit and picnic table but depending on your site, it may be in a poor location for your use. I was in site #26 and I could deploy my steps but not much room for anything else. My picnic table and fire pit were behind and opposite to my door opening. Really in a location that made it unfriendly to use. (Throw in the gopher mounds and it only added to the lack of desirability to use the area.) 3. Location - The location is stellar! So much to do in the Monterey area. Of course, for golfers, you’re right next to the golf course but also 20 minutes from other world class golf. 4. Noise - There is the Monterey airport right next door, and this could be an issue for some. If you’re a light sleeper I recommend a white noise machine. The flights don’t go all night, but they do go late and start very early. (5 am was a normal departure for the first plane but pretty quiet after that for hours). 5. Cell Service - Verizon was two bars of 5G. 6. WiFi - Park WiFi was clocked at 12 Mbps down and 10 Mbps up. I have T-Mobile 5G Gateway and it was 265 Mbps to 437 Mbps down (depending on time of day) and 4 Mbps to 10 Mbps up, again depending on time of day. 7. Rates - $70 plus $1 a day for a dog. (Which I think is totally stupid.) 8. Access - Of course you need to be a qualified person to make a reservation but there is no gate restricting access to the golf course or park. Very easy parking right in front of the clubhouse for check in. Wrapping it up. I’ll be returning at some point in the future as this is a great park in one of the prettiest locations on the west coast. There were some reviews (can’t remember which site) that mentioned “stickers/thorns” but I didn’t see any and my dog didn’t experience any either. Water pressure was also mentioned but I had no issue with this, my water pressure is set at 45 psi and that is where it stayed.
