Main gate is less than half mile from the RV park, while the alternate gate is over three miles winding through the base. Address is 800 Seal Beach Blvd, Seal Beach, CA 90740. Also, parking lot outside of the base at the main gate if one needs to park a towed automobile or connect with a ride (Uber, Lyft, etc.). Small exchange in facility, but even 7-11 would have more selection. Concrete back-in and pull-through pads throughout, with easy access to full hookup and picnic table. No grills at the RV sites, but there is a common family picnic area/cabana with charcoal bar-b-que. No wood-burning fire pits allowed, but propane stoves and charcoal-type barbeque stoves allowed. Canopy and gazebos must be totally on the concrete pad, not on the grass or tied to any campground posts/devices. Showers, bathrooms and laundry on site. Complimentary ice in laundry/bath house building, but not for human consumption (!). Washers and dryers are free but limited to two each per user. Get the campground WiFi and codes for showers from either the office or the camp host. RV wash facility, at $3/4minutes, with vacuum. RV site users are NOT allowed to disclose the codes. Reservations one year in advance for active duty. All other qualified patrons can make reservations up to six months in advance. Length of stay policy: 30 consecutive days with break of 14 days required between stays. Unlike in 2022, guests can be signed in at the front gate. DoD ID card holders only, with both active duty/retired/reserve, VA disability, Gold Star family and DoD civilians.
