The NEW ROAD is OPEN! You NO longer have to drive all over the base. As you enter the KELLY St gate, you will have to make a very sharp left turn on MARCH Rd after the gate shack or you will go up a hill area to the right to get you straighter for the turn. You will stay on March Rd until you see the Famcamp on your LEFT, the office is the second entrance on the left. We only stayed one night and can't speak to the facilities. USE the KELLY gate.

You had the luck with you. We arrived on November 10th for one night and entered the Kelly Gate --- They had just finished paving one half of that road and we could not take the sharp left!. We had to take the scenic route around the base (at night) and then take the scenic route back out the next morning. I called and correct that the short road is now open!
