Get yourself an RW400 GPS.you can punch in your RV height and propane avoidance and it will take you around those places.

Nomads,

I was really interested in your post about this unit because I was getting ready to buy CoPilot 11 RV software because it does include Overpass and Propane avoidance but I would rather have a stand alone unit if one is available that does those things. I downloaded the manual on the RW400. I see where you can select the vehicle type as RV and I see where you can select the Propane avoidance, but I do not see where you can enter or select an RV Height or find any info on what they use as RV height, only that you can select Vehicle type as RV. In fact they do not mention anything about Low Overpass avoidance in the manual that I can find. Can you confirm for me that this unit does include Low Overpass Avoidance and Vehicle Height options?

Boscoe14,

Welcome to the road. If the Jeep is a 4x4 you can tow it four down. On my Liberty with automatic tranny I have to use this procedure. Pull up behind the coach. Put the transfer case in neutral, turn the engine off, move the transmission to Park. Make sure the key is where the steering wheel is not locked. My Liberty has a key position were the engine is off but the steering is not locked. Some cars you have to turn the ignition to the On position and either pull a fuse or disconnect the battery terminal.

Nomads,

Thanks for the Personal Message. I would have sent you one instead of posting here but I have not figured out how to send a PM on the new board yet :-)

The pic looks like this RW400 unit has what the RVer needs. Looks like they would have mentioned the stuff about RV height in their manual they have for downloading from their site.

Anyway, thanks again for the PM and for uploading the pic. I believe I will try one.
