This is a nice park, and many level sites were available. It's disappointing that this park doesn't take reservations and is first-come, first-served. They let you call about a week in advance to get an idea of how full the park has been during the time frame you're looking for. My big complaint about this park is that there is a lot of dog waste around the park. They have a nice dog park with all the tools to clean up the waste. I watched one lady in the dog park stand right next to her German Shepherd as it pooped and she walked right out without picking up. There is a lot of waste around the park, too. It disappoints me that any military-affiliated campground doesn't have people staying there adhering to basic rules. Makes me wonder how they are even affiliated with the military if they can't follow basic rules. I will always try to use this park when traveling through that part of TX, but hoping management can somehow get a handle on it.
