Right on the lake, we walked from our spot to the water. Great for paddleboarding or renting a boat from the MWR. Had some issues with a steady Starlink connection with all the trees, but camp wifi was solid. Trees provided great shade in the hot months. All spots were concrete and mostly level. Tent area does not have power or water. In the lower loop, spots are kind of on top of each other, but the upper loop has more space. Bathhouses were clean and well kept, 2 toilet stalls and 2 shower stalls for both upper and lower loop bathhouses. Only one washer/dryer for the entire campground, but if you have several loads, you can go to the lodge where they have 2 more. The office is no longer in the campground and there is no host, so issues either need to go through ODR at the lodge, or base PD. Base amenities include: gym, small commissary/exchange, golf course, boat/watercraft rentals, and cabin rentals. I rented a cabin for some family to come visit and it was well maintained and decently priced as well. There are walking/biking trails near the campground and the cabins, which are about 1/2 mile up the road from the campground, but we were never able to find a map of them, so we only knew the small portion around the two areas. Though technically on base property, none of the lake access areas are inside the gate and the road is used by the entire town to get from one side to the other. It took about 15-30 minutes to get from the campground into town, depending on where you were going. ODR staff was great. They had several events while we were there. During the week, the campground was quiet and mostly only long-term stays, but on the weekends many more "party people" came and there was occasionally noise past quiet hours. ****NO SEWER HOOK-UPS**** there are two portable tanks that can be borrowed, but they are not cleaned very well by other users and were quite stinky.
