Nice campground, good value (as most military campgrounds are). Located on Lake Wateree, not inside of a military facility. Lots of lake access for boats and other watercraft. You can rent kayaks and canoes to go boating for $25/day. Dedicated swim area, although no lifeguards and the beach was a little unkempt - lots of goose droppings on the sand. The road through the campground is winding and a little narrow, so if you have a larger trailer, you might find it difficult to navigate (we were ok with a 30-foot trailer and a full-sized pickup truck). Sites are reasonable size, and each site has a fire ring. All RV sites have a concrete pad; not all are perfectly level but the slope (if there is any) is reasonable. Staff was friendly and active around the campground. We were there on a holiday weekend and the campground set up a large outdoor movie screen and played kids movies on Saturday night. The campground is in a very rural area, so expect a thirty-minute drive minimum to get to any of the local towns. There are Dollar Stores and local restaurants closer to the campground if you want to stay closer.
