Elizabeth City USCG Base. Kind of a hidden gem. Out away from the hustle of Norfolk and only an hour from the outer banks. 10 long back in concrete spaces just a short walk to a boat launch & swim beach on the Pasquotank River. No bathroom or showers so you have to be fully self-contained. No laundry facility that I saw. I believe it was $45/night. Couple of issues, first is none of the phone numbers listed on the USCG web page are correct. Call (206) 815-7098 and follow the prompts to MWR, ticketing. Second is after entering the base you'll see a sign that indicates "30A RV park" left, "50A RV park" straight ahead. Seems they may have a very small lot only big enough for van style campers. The nicer, newer spaces are straight ahead past the gas station/shoppette. Oh, and don't plan on gassing up after 1700 when the shopette closes as the pumps are locked up for the night!
