Expected the place to be swamped over Mardi Gras - we were the third campers on site, and saw at most 15 rigs over the course of our stay. Called ahead for reservation - though not really required in this case. There are two RV campsites side by side. The one on the left is for full-time personnel (less than stellar condition) - the one on the right is for transients (absolutely terrific). Located about 30-ish minutes from the French Quarter. All concrete spots, and clean clubhouse. Did not experience ANY electrical hook-up problems - nor did I see anyone else who did. Eager camp host, great value - will be back again! I would not take the Terrytown exit, but instead, go down to the Lafayette exit and break left under the highway. Lafayette is a much smoother/wider road that turns into Belle Chasse, which takes you straight to the entrance to the base!
