Very pleasant park beside a small lake. Nice and quiet when we were there (non weekend). Level concrete pads, short stretch of good gravel road for approach, interior roads asphalt with good manueverability even for big rigs. A few pull-thrus, mostly back-ins. Lots of room for each site with all utilities functioning. Verizon data marginal, voice solid, no wifi. Guidance re reservation is a little confusing - when I called they told me reservation were required in the high season which this was. No problem and I could go straight to the site before registering - which might be best depending on how busy they get weekends - could be an adventure driving an RV through the main area if busy. Pretty sure there were a few homesteaders but only one had an excess of 'stuff' scattered about. Outside the gate - definitely 20 min or so to PX/commissary. Bathroom / laundry usable but could be better kept that's for sure.

We stayed 3 weeks in our travel trailer. The site was level, utilities worked fine. The showers and laundry were pretty dirty and in need of deep cleaning and drain unclogging. It was very quiet and peaceful there. Takes about 20 min to get to post commissary and px and residential areas. There is a little marina on alligator lake where you can rent fishing boats, paddle boat, canoe, kayaks, even a stand up paddle board, which I found amusing, since it is clearly posted "no swimming" due to snakes and alligators..We did see water snakes, and watched a beaver paddling around everyday. Lots of birds and insects, really pretty setting.
