Park Review: 1. Park Quality - This is a very large park that is pretty well maintained. Plenty of washers and dryers and the facility was clean. I did not use the bathroom or shower. With the size of this park, I’m not sure why they don’t accept reservations. 2. Sites - Mostly large white rock that was packed down. There was some slope to many of the sites that could make it difficult to level front to back. Side to side was not an issue. Some sites seemed very close together while others provided plenty of space. Utilities were good with the exception of hard water. 3. Location - Great location near the actual Boneyard and Pima Air Museum. While the golf course was sadly shuttered years ago, in its place is a great walking trail. Highly recommend taking the dog (if you have one) over for a nice long walk. This is also very close to Saguaro National Park, about a 20-minute drive. 4. Noise - Depending on what side of the park you’re on, you might experience road noise from S Wilmont Rd. 5. Cell Service - Verizon was three bars of 5G. 6. Wifi - I didn’t check the park wifi but Starlink was 202 Mbps down and 31 Mbps up. 7. Rates - $35 a day which is fair. They do offer contracts for 3 and 6 months but you must show up to secure one. (still no reservation). 8. Access - You need to be qualified to access a military installation and required RV reservation. 9. Dog Friendliness - For most of the park, my pup didn’t experience any type of thorns. There was some in the surrounding areas but generally nothing in the park itself. There is a really nice dog park at the very back of the northside of the park. There is also a dog wash. -- Wrapping it up. This is a great park with lots of amazing things to do in the local area.
