Snow bird haven during the winter, but off-season almost deserted. Five miles from the front gate in what appears to be the older part of the post, somewhat isolated from the newer facilities on post. The RV campground has 50 FHU spaces, and was almost empty when we pulled up in August. However, front desk advised that from October to March, the campground is packed "snow birds" leaving colder, snow areas up north. Centrally located office has both gender bathrooms, as well as washers/dryers. There is both heavy duty and regular dryers, and price appears to be $1.25 for regular wash/dry. Nominally, the camp host would be in site 26. Cable TV is available for 70 channels. Checklist has 13 resort rules to acknowledge when checking in. Also, have to execute a signed code of ethics and provide the RVIA registration number in addition to the normal DoD ID/vehicle license/make/model. WiFi: StarLink: Mbps 125down/26up T-Mobile: Mbps 559down/20up Campground: Mbps 13.9down/3.1up CableTV not evaluated for just an overnight stay.
