I can find no wet spots in the lines. Tank is 3/4 full. MH is a 1993 Bounder 34j (gas) Generator is an Onan 7000 any and all help appreciated.

Last fall, I have been fighting with it when I can spend the time all summer.
In July of last year it ran from Indianapolis back to Ohio with no problems. Then in August it was a hit and miss thing, thats what made me think the pump was getting weak. I've blown out the fuel line and all seems correct. If the storms stop I will try and see if I can hook up an outside tank from an old mower and see if it will run. I am just out of ideas on this..

Fuel is new less the 60 days. Fuel filter at the carb changed .
There is no fuel in the line from the fuel tank to the generator.
I can remove that line from the carb and no fuel will come out even after leaving it off for an hour or better. If I blow back through the line I can hear the air in the tank.
I can spray fuel into the carb and the unit will run. I don't know if the tank pick up is top of tank or bottom of tank and maybe rusted off. I still lean to the hole in the supply line but don't have the experience in this type of a problem.. I will look to see if there is a second or primary filter in line some were. Compleat tune up done 2 years ago, oil changed when problems first started.

You know I keep saying line to carb but my bad and I am sorry the line from the tank to the pump is dry the pump is not picking up any fuel from the tank. I am sorry about the misleading info just too much on my mind this week.

I've have problems with my Onan 7kw running. It will start, but only run about 20 minutes then cut off.

I've been told one of the major problems with Onan is the oil pressure switch. I haven't been able to find the one on mine.

However, if your's won't even kick over, that may not be it since the switch is bypassed for startup.

Well my Generator now starts and runs after over a year of no use. It was the fuel pump, the OE pump did fail and the new auto style (a Mr Gasket mini) did not like to draw and would not draw that far (32 foot from tank to Gen.). Younger Bro. had one of the older style Napa type pumps( the ones we all use to put on the Hot Rods) and 5 mmin of work, and less then 2min of off and on cranking and POWER. Did the maint tune up oil chg and all has been good this year so far

Also one thing about Gasoline Generators is that when the sits and no stabilizer is not used the varnish in the gasoline breaks down and gums up the carburators and jets. Frequent use at least twice a month running with a load on them keeps them running as they should along with other maintenance.
