Frogs in your AC? was created by dbert513
Does anyone else have an issue with little tree frogs getting into your AC unit? We hear them and will occasionally check the unit. That's when we find little frog skeletons and usually a couple live ones hopping around. We even had one find it's way inside the roof unit inside the RV. Is there anything we can do to keep the little guys away from the roof unit? Any help would be appreciated. BTW, we are full timers and I try to avoid parking under trees. Pine trees drip sap and while the shade is nice, I still want to get a little sun on the roof to prevent mold and stuff growing on the roof from the AC condensate. We're in the FL panhandle. Thanks all!

i have one that has been all over with us
he somehow manages to hide in the rear of the m/h panel that has all the air outlets for the radiator

its funny because after we get home, in about 2 days we will see him om the wall behind the rv, stretching his legs

i dont know how he knows its time to load up....but i swear he hasn't missed a trip in about 8 months
once he was on the rear view camera lens....then in the morning he was gone and i figured we left him at the campground, then sure enough a few days later he emerged on the ladder

Don't have frogs in the A/C unit, that we know of. But we did have a small tree frog hopping down the center isle of our MH. Just a little surprised! He's happily outside now. :)

A quick fix to use that I was told is to remove the AC cover and cut some screen large enough to cover the inside of the vents and use clear silicone to adhesive the screen to the cover on the inside, this also works well to stop the dirt diabers wasps who will get into the fridge, hot water heater and furnance exhaust exterior vents.
