Wes, the camp host, was wonderful. He showed us to our campsite and while we were hooking up he was busy blowing the tree leaves off of our pad and washing the picnic table and benches. He had a welcome packet ready with the base map and information as well as local attractions. The laundry room and bathrooms were very clean and new. Although you have to go around the perimeter of the base to get to the back gate, the campground is tucked into a great location next to a walking path and several outdoor activities like ball diamonds, golf course, and playground. The REC office is located at the entrance of the campground with lots of extras that can be rented like a rock climbing wall, campers and even power wheels for the kids. They also sell tickets to local tourist attractions at a discount. This is a top notch campground with attention to detail!
