This was by far one of the nicest camp grounds we have stayed at. The sites are over sized. Most are on the lake, or have a decent view of the lake. Wildlife was all around. My husband is deploying a second time to Iraq, and we have visited Pelican Roost previously as a family. This spring break I made my maiden voyage with the camper and kids on my own. Our arrival was EXTREMELY late or should I say early. (truck issues) Woody was actually up and he helped us locate a spot out front to dry camp for the night.
