Have stayed here several times over the years. It is hard to get to for the first time, but once you learn about the gate off of hwy. 235 it is real convenient. The place has gone down over the years due to no one actually cares. The office at the campground has been closed for a couple of years and you have to call for reservations and hope someone answers the phone. Waited three days for a returned call....
This is a great park. Very clean and well kept. The toilets and showers are very clean. This park has only been open for several months and still needs a few things added. They also need a camp host to take care of things. This place is one of the nicest campgrounds I've stayed in. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is very easy to find and to get in and out of. I had no problem parking my motor home, as some have indicated they have. I will use this campground again. The only down side to staying here is a charge of $9.00 a day for WIFI. This was my 3rd visit to this campground. This is the nicest one I have ever stayed in. The staff are just super people; seems as though they can't do enough for you. This has got to be the cleanest place I have stayed in all my travels. Keep up the good work.
Stayed here July 2,3,4,5 of this year 2009. Could be a nice place if they would cut the grass and get rid of all the homesteaders. Only a few spaces for people like myself who only wants to stay a few days. Seems as if you are in the know with the park management, you can stay as long as you wish. Other than that the location is perfect and very easy to get in and out of.
This place is a joke. It is ran by civilians and they could care less about you the retiree. I wanted to go in and look around and I was told that I had to purchase a membership to just look at the place. Don't waste your time. I can only rate this place as a -10.
