Pros: This is a lovely RV park on a small, well-maintained, historic installation. You must check-in at the Lodging center on the beach before going to the RV park (center open until 10 pm). Staff are pleasant and efficient. They will assign you a site and give you keys to unlock the electric, water, and bathhouse. We arrived the day after the national marksmanship competitions ended (August 2024). The installation was very quiet for the week we were there. There...
Not on Fort Bliss. Efficient and competent office staff. No reservations, but when this park says it is full, it is. Overflow is very small and steep. All sites pull-thru and full hookup. Park sites are concrete pads and adequately level. Utilities well-maintained. Electric and water are located at front of site. Clean park with minimal road noise at night. Did not see problems with wind-blown trash or dog poop. Bathrooms, laundry, clubhouse, fitness room, and ramadas clean and well-maintained....
Entering and leaving post is efficient and welcoming to visitors. The serpentine drives in and out are daunting at first, but are actually easy to do in a 32 ft motorhome. Staff are efficient and try to accommodate guests, but the computer says the park is full when 30% of the sites are empty. We stayed here almost 3 weeks while waiting on parts to complete an RV repair. The park was pleasant, clean, and well maintained. Electrical hook ups...
There were new phone numbers for Outdoor Rec (580-442-0930), Reservations (580-250-4040 or 580-250-4000), and Park Office (580-583-0670). Staff and all Post signage referred to this RV Park as LETRA (the acronym for the lake). The reservation system worked smoothly. These directions to LETRA worked well: Traveling South on I-44, take the Hwy 62/Rogers Lane exit (40B) and head West for 0.8 mile. Exit again to Northbound, Fort Sill Blvd. Enter Fort Sill and turn left at Mow-Way Road (1st...
The 20 new sites are finished. They are long, wide, flat, concrete, pull-thru sites with full hookups. Still $20 a night. THEY DO TAKE RESERVATIONS NOW for the new sites. The hookups are conventionally placed and still shiny new. Driving instructions are still good. Check-in is at the old section and the new section is down the road (next right turn). The new section has its own bathhouse and laundry. The office/clubhouse in the old section is walking distance...
