The value for this location cannot be beat, and the sites at the campground itself are quite spacious and modern. The park is kept very clean, but the customer service could use a lot of improvement. There are no base amenities, and the restricted areas on base mean you can travel directly from the campground to the gate, and that's it. There is a short walking path (no bikes or skooters allowed), but otherwise, you have to...
Pretty little camp set among lots of trees, with a big green belt in between the two sections of the park. The downside to the greenbelt is there are lots of bugs and they will get into your rig. Mostly quiet - there were some helicopters buzzing overhead late at night a few nights, but I think it was just some temporary exercises. Wifi was ok most of the time. Verizon signal strong. A...
Great new facility, nicely spaced sites, everything is brand new and in great condition. No shade, but they have nicely xeriscaped everything, so at least it's pretty. Customer service was outstanding. Free laundry room, also all new. Some airplane noise in morning and mid afternoon, but not horrible. The one nice thing about the location is there isn't much traffic noise. I probably won't return myself, but only because there is no access to...
Beautiful campground with nicely spaced sites for lots of privacy and lots of extra green space. You can hear some traffic noise during rush hours and there is an occasional train horn, but otherwise the place is very quiet at night. Lots of tall trees - very nice for shade, but my sirius radio did not work well, and I doubt satellite TV would either. Verizon signal is good. No wifi at sites, but you can...
While the sites are cramped and the campground sort of worn, it has a real rustic charm, like an old time campground. Its very pretty and mostly quiet, though there is occasional noise from aircraft taking off or landing next door. The sites are somewhat oddly laid out to fit into the terrain, so you might get a nice front porch area or you might not. Also, I was in a 40 foot site with a 30 foot motorhome,...
It looks like someone spent a ton of money to build a really nice park and now is just watching it get run into the ground. All of the grass between sites has turned to weeds, and its very ugly, plus not pleasant to walk on. The laundry room is a mess, with lots of broken machines (but they are free to use...). It's not particularly easy to get to, with a few miles of driving on surface streets....
The location is nice if you want to be out of the city and noise. The flip side is there aren't many services or things to do in the area. There is a small commissary, a shopette, and a great fitness center. The rates are very good for longer term stays, a little expensive day to day. The rates include cable tv, with an excellent selection of channels, BUT you have to install a box and run it out...
Fabulous location. The sites are modern and in great condition, but this is really just a parking lot. With that being said, at least the sites are wide enough so you aren't camped on top of one another. All of the sites looked to be off level. For motorhomes, the best view is from the middle row, as the row next to the water is all back-in. The view from the middle row is actually quite nice, as the...
While the sites here are very close together, and the pads kind of short, they make up for it with really great common picnic areas. Not a bargain compared to other military facilities, but compared to anything else in the area, it is great. You can't beat the location. It's close to the freeway, but in a little cul de sac so the traffic noise isn't bad at all. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. One odd...
Overall, a nice park in a quiet location on base. It is overpriced at the daily rate, both compared to other famcamps and for the local area, but the weekly rate is not bad if you can stay that long. The sites are very large, with the only negative being there are no trees, so not much privacy. The whole camp is impeccably maintained, and the famcamp staff was outstanding. The outdoor rec staff was friendly and tried to...
This CG still has one big thing going for it - location - but unfortunately, there have been some changes for the worse since I visited last year. The wait to get from the dry camp area to full hookups is now 5-6 days during the busy season, and the dry camp area was full or nearly so the whole time of my visit (so be advised to have a plan B, since there might not be space in...
