Another overnight stop/stay here. As mentioned earlier, a little dated, but clean, and accommodating. Good utilities. Good power. This place is about location! Two rows right on the beach in the sand. Third row has paved spots and faces away from the beach. Remaining rows are in the sand. Kind of parking lot style. First, we always use the Speedway exit off the interstate, then Hollywood Dr and on to Las Vegas Blvd. Sooo much easier. Good Petro for fuel at the interstate exit. Nice RV park. Small, and kind of compact, but clean and nice. A little dated but very clean. Easy access from the interstate. There are basically two areas. Second time we have stayed here. 35' motorhome with a TOAD. Convenient, safe, affordable. The visit we stayed in two sites; #8 and #37. Site 8 was in the small loop and close to other sites. Our 5th time staying here in the past 5 years. And every time has been terrific. We are here in the summer and it is HOT, so be prepared. Wow, this is a real hidden gem. They have a paved area with a grassy hill behind it with about 15 back-in spots. Full hook-ups. No wit. Great Verizon coverage. Laundry. Small AAFES convenience store. Disappointed. We had reservations for late Aug. Got a call on July 30th from the campground that they had to cancel our reservation. The base CO extended the active-duty only restriction until 8 Sept due to his COVID concerns. This seemed to be a base policy not a Navy or DoD policy. Great place to visit and tour the emerald coast. First, the directions and gps coordinates are spot on. Follow them. Second, do not come in the main gate unless you have to, there are checkpoints that will be tough to navigate with your rig.
