Pictures say allot, you get what you see... an open area full hook-up... no showers or toilets... "very quiet". Nice place perfect for us because we want to see Cape Cod and not hang around the camp grounds. Nice little PX & Commissary, Theater (that is not always open), Gym on the Army side (hrs. are very limited) and a nice little Cardio fitness "hut" located on the Coast Guard side (by landing strip). Washed are clothes for free...
We recommend this campground and the area. Most of the sites are pretty close together. Personal do a good job and are very helpful. Surrounding area is also clean and well maintained. Nice campgrounds but could use a little restoration. Noise is tolerable, mostly road noise (passing vehicles outside gate). The area has everything to offer (but seclusion/isolation) and at reasonable prices. Off base traffic can be a problem so chose the right times to get to where you...
Very nice and clean located in a very nice tourist beach people area. I did not max the score because of the tightness. This place and this area speaks for itself so I will not go into detail… boardwalk, cafés, wining, dining, shopping, white beaches, very clean and so on.
We came down 231 from Troy and our GPS wanted to take us in to Fort Rucker on a closed road so be careful with your GPS. The staff was very nice and really wanted us to be happy! This Campground is very secluded in nature and very quiet with the exception of aircraft from time to time. TV reception with our standard RV antenna was slightly broken up from time to time. There are very strict rules here and...

We prefer wooded campgrounds and this one is not wooded but in this case that did not bother us at all. If we do our very best to get really picky we would prefer to pay and have hot water in the washers but since we no longer have kids with stained clothes and I...
We were there in Feb. so there was no problem getting a last minute lot for our trailer. Was very nice and quiet, no city noise no hwy. noise and overall very clean. Personnel are very nice; we had a flat tire on our trailer and they had everything needed to fix it. I can imagine that in the summer it is full and probably not so quite. Has playground and is very child friendly. There is a small Laundromat...
If you do not have a Sticker you will need to enter Hunter at the “Montgomery” Gate to sign in then proceed to the Rio Rd. gate, the campgrounds are located next to the “Rio” Gate. The grounds office personnel are very helpful & friendly the same goes for the gate guards! There is no Laundry, Showers or Toilets… There is full hock-up and our camper has a shower and toilet so no problem but we missed the laundry. We...
