Echoing the comments of others, a hidden pearl in the desert. Utilities were solid, in good shape. T-Mobile 5G was at 4 bars, OTA TV was limited to Mexican stations. Didn't use the available WiFi but Starlink was a reliable 200+ Mbps. Water pressure was good as were all utility connections at the pedestal. We were in the older section across from the RV Lounge/Laundry. Concrete pad easily fit our 40' class A with...
Being a military run (ONG) campground, it was excellent in all respects, Long, paved, level FHU sites. All back-in but the access road is double wide making easy backs. Utilities were in excellent shape. Water and Electricity are kept locked, and you receive a site-specific key when you check in at the Conference Center about 2 blocks away. Grounds are well maintained. Easy access off US 2 yet close enough to shopping and restaurants. This RV Park could easily become...
Quiet, peaceful and off any well traveled path. Sites are paved and the pull-throughs were long enough that my 44' fiver and F450 fit easily. Large, level, paved sites with good utility connections (FHU). Laundry/Bath House was immaculate. As others have said, no activities for kids with the exception of an almost laughable 2 seat swing at one end of the campground. Grounds very clean and neat. No wifi and only had 1 bar intermittently...
Battleship Row. We stayed here in a 44' 5th wheel toy hauler. The first thing you notice about the campground is that there is no litter or trash, anywhere. Roads in campground are paved and wide to allow easy access/backing for even the biggest rigs. Sites, in general, are large, level concrete pads with good utility connections and with plenty of space between them. Grounds and landscaping are well maintained. We picked a site...
Stayed over Labor Day weekend in 44' Fifth Wheel. Easy to navigate internal roads, 20'x40' concrete pads, FHU, solid utilities. Exceptionally clean and well maintained grounds. Camp Host and residents take great pride in the appearance of the campground. Hiking, fishing, canoeing and kayaking. Quiet campground away from the noise and activity of the nearby Water Country. NEX MiniMart with diesel, firewood and ice along with the usual convenience store items, including adult beverages of various kinds. The...
Construction in progress at the FamCamp limited the # of pull through sites. Was a little worried when we arrived and Camp Host (wonderful by the way) told us we had to use a back-in site. With a 44' Fiver Toy Hauler, we anticipated the worst but experienced the best. Long, level concrete pad in the shade of a couple beautiful old oaks, full hookups with updated connections. Easy access to major thoroughfares, close to commissary...
Stopped for an overnight stay on our way south. Was not prepared for the wonderful welcome or the pristine condition of all facilities. Small park, but exceptional y well laid out and equipped. This is now a destination stop for us. Beats most commercial/private parks we've stayed at. We stayed in a 44 ft 5th wheel. Spacious, level concrete pad and truly manicured lawns. You can tell the staff and long term residents...
