First let say the staff were great in assisting you with information of the surrounding area and especially for downtown parking and getting around. First thing you need to know is that the office is only open from 8:00 - 10:-- and 13:00 - 15:00 and not a minute earlier. I arrived 12:45 and disconnected my tow. This Fam-Camp could be one of the best in Mississippi. But the first thing is they need to move the people that live there full time out. The Host was great. Great park to do the beach and casinos. Remember to stop at the Mississippi welcome center when first coming into the state and get the buy one get one free buffet coupons for the casinos. The RV park doesn't have them any longer.

The park hasn't changed since the last time we here. I was told that the rates are going up by the end of the summer. The reason is that the civilian park owners are complaining that the base is taking away their business. No improvements are scheduled so no cable. It's a nice place to spend a few days to do FT. This is a Fam-Camp that sets the standards very High. The host are great and helpful with all questions. The laundry, rec room, showers, were spotless. To visit the surrounding area like St Mary's, Jekyell Island are just a couple places to see. It would be hard to get a spot with out a reservation later on in the winter. I pulled in to stay but after seeing the spots I decided to leave and drive South. This park could be great but it needs a BIG Overhaul, power up date to 50 AMPS, sewer, Cable would be nice since no satellite.

While we only stayed for a few days it was great, made reservations over the phone and was given a spot. I just stayed for two days. The only open spots were water & Elect. I read all the other reports but I didn't have any of those issues, yes the WiFi was a little slow at times, yes a little dusty (but if the drivers would have slowed down NO DUST), I wish I could have stayed longer but the plans didn't allow it. You can't ask for a better Fam-Camp. Every thing was clean, the laundry room, exercise equipment handy. With the new Gas station across the street and fuel prices cheaper than our post and the Flying J. Just an outstanding place to spend the night or two.

The first thing I will say this park is operated by some of the friendliest camp host around. I called early in the morning for 2 spots and they save them for us. The bad things are the streets getting to the park and that the new area doesn't have any cable, also some of the people need to clean up their spot because they can stay long term. Well I only stayed one night, was going to stay longer but... I have a Big rig and I'll tell you I will not go back till they really do some work. As stated in other reviews watch out for the tree branches, I ended up with some minor surface damage that I had to work out at our next location.

The check in process was as easy as ever, Met Arlene at the MWR office during check in. We needed to extend our stay by a few days at check in she helped and made sure it happened. They base has little to do on it but FT. Monmoth is just a few miles away, also Ft. Dix & McGuire AFB is just a short drive if you really need a great PX/BX. A laundry mat is near FT Monmoth...
