This is a very nice facility, convenient to I-91 for seasonal travel to or from the northeast. A very good value. My only negative comment has to do with the difficulty in communicating with the FamCamp management. None of the posted material lists anything other than a single phone number to communicate with the FamCamp/MWR personnel. However, you can spend days trying to speak with anyone. One of the top 5 military campgrounds we've visited, the new Pelican Point FamCamp doesn't disappoint. Sites are large and level. The grounds and facilities are clean and well maintained. Our late arrival was handled efficiently by the host, who was courteous, professional and knowledgeable. After the daily airshow of Harrier and helicopter ops (they should charge extra for that!), the park was very quiet. Overall, a great facility and value. We stayed in a 36 foot 5th wheel....
We've stayed at military campgrounds all over the US and have rarely enjoyed such a nice combination of location, hospitality and value. The campground is beautifully laid out and maintained. It's in a lovely wooded location, with large, level sites. Sites have large concrete parking slabs and interior roads are paved. Bath houses are very clean and well maintained. If you are an ocean lover, this facility is an absolute gem and an outstanding value for money. The location is perfect for a get-away with beach access just steps away from your site, while at the same time convenient to Cape Cod and Boston. Few camping facilities give you such a wide range of immediate area activities for such reasonable cost.
