We have a site in the newly opened area. The concrete pads are huge, plenty of room for our 43 foot motor home and tow car. Utilities are well placed and water pressure is high. Close to Commissary and PX. The new Gate 9 is very narrow so go slow as you enter.

MAY 17 - JUNE 10 2018

As said in previous reviews, this campground is not managed well and, having stayed here the past 7 years, I can say it never has been managed well. The Outdoor Rec people are kind and respectful, but they only manage the office. I have never seen them in the campground. That said, my overall opinion is that it is a nice place to stay, just don't have any expectations about campground management. We arrived in late May and departed...

We have stayed at Fairways RV Park many times in the past. This is the first time we find the campground in a state of poor repair. Almost all the grass and some of the palm trees in the new section are dead from lack of water. It is basically dirt and a few weeds around the concrete pads. When you check in, the office staff hands you a list of campground regulations with a verbal warning to follow...

CAUTION! This military campground has no water. The water system has been down since August 2016 and I was told there is no money in the CE budget to make the necessary repairs. I was told by the camp host that the underground valve for the shore water spigots are defective and each one will need to be dug up and replaced. The camp host and the assistant host are the only campsites with water. To get water you...

We stay at FE Warren frequently on our trips north out of Denver. While we enjoy our stay, there are several downsides. It is one of the higher priced FamCamps ($20) with less facilities than other locations. I cannot understand why they raised their rates so high and yet made no improvements to the campground. The trees on the interior roads need to be trimmed back. We found it difficult to maneuver without having tree limbs hit...

If you have a long rig, use the Commercial Gate on Grandview Avenue. It is a little further west on Highway 67 from the main gate. The Main Gate has been recently re-designed and has sharp curves. We maneuvered our 40 RV and toad through the curves but were hitting the sidewalls on our rear RV tires. The FamCamp is an older campground but very nice and clean with many tall trees. It is on the...

This campground appears to be the same, with no upgrades or improvements in the past several years. The daily rates, however, have changed and at $20 is one of the more expensive military campgrounds. This seems odd since the campground facilities are average, at best and possibly less than average when you consider that most sites are 30 amp. I did a short walk-around and found 50 amp at only 5 of the 8 pull-thru sites. ...

We arrived today at Kirtland AFB and the new camp sites are a huge improvement. The 40 new sites are huge and angled for easy entry. The hook-ups are in between two sites and easy to reach for most any RV. In fact, there are three sewer connections on each center utility run. The sites are gravel and the roads are dirt. Hopefully, they will pave the roads at some point. We had difficulty...

When we arrived we were the only campers. Only one other camper arrived in our 3 day weekend stay. The parking pads are long, level and paved. We had good water pressure and 50 amp service. The sewer connections are considerably forward and we had to park somewhat forward to allow our sewer hose to reach the dump. The dump pipe is inside an 8 inch hole and recessed about 10 inches. If you...
