The Fort Chaffee RV Park is located in an area of Fort Chaffee that has been turned over to the nearby Cities of Fort Smith and Barling, but the campground remains under Fort Chaffee control. The Camp Host, Jim (a retired Army CSM) is very accommodating, willing to help, has the best interest of the campground at heart and keeps it maintained. The bathhouse and laundry is clean and well-kept. This park is a great place to...
Great location in the Hampton Roads area. There is no community room, WiFi or cable TV, however there are several local TV Stations you can access. The grounds are not very well maintained. The road through the campground and the sites are all hard surfaced - no mud or dust. The view of the surrounding area is really nice, especially the sunrise/sunset over the water. It is a very quiet place. Fort Monore does not...
The campground is open with no specific lanes. Electric, water and sewer hookups are at each site. Close proximity to Helna, MT. There are 12 sites and easy to get to.
There are only 6 sites. Hard surface road with concrete paved sites. Very nice campsites. No sewer, dump station very close in area. PX, Gas Station and Commissary close and easy to find. You cannot make reservations; it's first come/first served. We had to wait 2 days for a site to open. There is a huge overflow parking area next to Commissary (formerly a mobile home park). We used lodging for two days until a...
We entered through the cargo gate on a Wednesday, no problems. The sites are gravel with full hook-ups, plus cable TV. The hook-ups are behind the site and somewhat far back from where you are parked. Bring lots of sewer hose. There is lots of grass and a whole bunch of little critters to keep you entertained. The restrooms were clean and well maintained. The laundry was clean and in good order. The base is kinda quiet,...
This is a wonderful campground at a decent price. Decent spacing between rigs, and plenty of room around the rig where you don't feel like you are in your neighbors space. 50 and 30 Amps available at some sites, but no 20 Amp, Good water pressure. We were in a back-in space and sewer was a LONG run if you back-in too far. The showers are located in the Boathouse and is a little far from the Campground,...
Great facility.
At the entrance of the FAMCAMP, there is a building (previously was office/check-in). There no one there, no instructions for check-in. There is a sign indicating that an envelope with your site number would be posted. No envelope. There is a base phone, but the number to call is not posted. A man passing by told us the number to call. A lady answered the phone and gave us directions to the check-in office. ...
The campground is in a great location. If it rains, the roads are somewhat muddy.
The campground is in a great location. However, the campground roads are very muddy and some of the sites have very little gravel. The showers are in need of renovation. Mold is visible in the showers. You would think the home of Air Force One would have a 5 Star campground. Asphalt roads and paved camp sites would greatly enhance the campground.
Great location. Beautiful view over the water.
