Great hidden gem on the Atlantic. While this is only a small training facility with no BX, Commissary, etc it's a great jumping off point. Ocean City, MD is 30 mins South and Rheoboth and Lewes beaches are just up the road. The RV restrooms could have been a little better but we had all we needed in our travel trailer. We stayed here 19-24 June 2010. Very clean campground (we stayed in the new area). No showers or bathhouse. However the beach area is within easy walking distance. The small NEX is close and has a nice selection for being so small. My only real ordeal was the location of the sewer connection. Unlike most campgrounds we have stayed at, it was located in the front as opposed to the back of the site....

Just visited for quick weekend outing with our new 2010 Jayco Jay Flight travel trailer. The location is close to very historic and interesting Fort Monroe. If you visit this campground before the base closes, take the time to visit the Casemate museum. You will be glad you did. The bathhouse is adequate but small. There is only one restroom for both males and females. It's kept pretty clean, just you have to wait if somebody...
