There is a lot of construction on the base making it close to impossible to find the campground - find one of the private MPs & get him/her to escort you. There are only 15 spaces & only a few have sewer but there is a dump. Most spaces are only 30 amp service. Getting to the campground at night was a nightmare. The Famcamp sign posted on the main road said Entrance but no arrow to indicate you hadn't entered the area already but rather had to take a right. One of the best maintained campgrounds I've stayed in - public, private or military. We had a lovely concrete patio with vinyl covered 4 sided picnic table, lots of space between sites & trees galore - all trimmed for RV traffic. Nice, convenient location for NE tourist travel, except finding the base was VERY frustrating as there was no address and the site directions were only from one highway which is totally not able to be found. Manager of campground and sentries are all super helpful & pleasant. Spots are sand with lots of high trees and cement pad (at least where I parked). We arrived late in the day and there were no spots available so we stayed in the overflow comfortably since we're self-contained. Filled the fresh water tank and emptied the black/gray tanks on our way out. The stay cost us nothing.
