San Antonio Campground is now a Boy Scout Camp with a cable and lock across the main entrance.

Loved staying here. Close to beaches, small town charm of Lompoc, with LA and San Luis Obispo within a easy drive. The office staff, specifically Shelly, is polite, helpful and a pleasure to interact with. Steve, the cigar chewing camp host, on the other hand is another story. Great location, beautiful surroundings and a good value for the money. Unfortunately when we went to use the bathroom facilities we were shocked at their condition. They are in desperate need of an upgrade! The facility is obviously very popular, with enough suitable land to where additional RV spaces with full-hookup could be easily created.

Hi, over the past years I've read a number of letters dealing with the couple who run Travis AFB. I've stayed there a number of times, but never had any issues until just a few days ago. The treatment that I received from Mary was unbelievably rude, authoritarian and downright nasty. I want to contact people on this site who have has similar unpleasant experiences and take those comments to the MWR staff and lodge a formal complaint....
Claustrophobic is the only word that comes to mind. Way too much road noise, to small and no amenities. We are moving to Fairways RV Resort just up the road. Triple Dolphin Properties is running this campground and from what I can see it's putting no money back into the facility. It has the feel of a place that someone doesn't care about. It needs to be opened up for bidding to someone who really cares about this site....
I agree with the recent post, this RV camp is nothing more than a parking lot. Even the overflow area looks more like a storage area than a campground. There is also a constant hum/drone of a generator or some other large equipment that is pervasive. Out of all the military campgrounds that I've stayed, this one feel more like you're back in Basic Training than an RV campground for us old geezers.
