Can't say anything more positive than has been said. Awesome place. Would like to add that if one needs the services of the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, this is a great place to stay. Clinic only 12 miles away and an easy drive. Check out the seafood restaurant in Mayport ( one nearest the ferry). Everything about this place made a bad situation much easier.

lived in area and worked on base for 7 years
Always very clean, quiet. Very close to bx and commissary. As for showers, if you have a toad why not use the gym showers. Really not that far to walk if you are in good shape. Lunch at the club is very good and close by.
