Last of many stays at this facility. Many recent rule/policy changes at NAS Pensacola Rec Area. Park Manager selectively chooses rules he enforces and interprets meanings of rules to suit his desires. Park has become anti-long term stay and caters to local weekenders. Relocated to Pensacola area after Hurricane Michael destroyed Panama City area. Second visit to Blue Angel Recreation Area. With no reservations was able to get into Anchor Cove RV Park. For those that are unfamiliar with Blue Angel Park there are two campgrounds, Battle Ship Row is full hook ups and Anchor Cove has no sewer hookups. Have stayed at this Facility in the past. Was on Site 15 at Battleship Row for this stay. Arrived on a Sunday with reservations. Called the Host (JD) on arrival at the entrance to area and was meet and shown the available sites via golf cart. All of the MWR Staff at this Recreation Area are most helpful and very friendly. First visit to this facility. Stayed at Anchor Cove without full hookups. This facility was very nice and all the staff I met were helpful and friendly. Would recommend this facility to all. There is also a lot to do in the area. Many walking and bicycling paths. Will return.

First time returning to Southside RV Park in three years. There have been many changes since the last time I was here and wrote last review. As previous reviewer stated the daily ($22.00) and monthly($18.00 per day) rates are up, which seems to be the trend at most military parks. The previous host has departed and was replaced by two couples that seem to have no function other than to pickup trash twice weekly. Would be more cost effective...

Returned for fourth winter stay to Southside RV Park. As usual the stay was great in spite of the weather! Great to return and meet old friends and make new ones. Sheila is the best host of all the places we have visited.

Short stay on the way from Florida back to SC. As usual this is a great place to visit for short or long stay. The new water lines are almost complete and a new power line is being run now. Also with the housing developments on Highway 165 there is a new cell tower making cell service much better.

Returned for third winter at Southside. Things are about the same, we are very happy with this facility. Sheila is still there and as usual she is the greatest host. Didn't seem to be as many people wintering in the area this year as there was vacancies in many of the RV parks in the area. Great stay to visit grand-daughter. This is a supper facility to visit for short or extended stay. Only negative comment is the low water pressure, but a new "city" water line is in the final stages of installation. Will definitely be returning to this facility when we are in the area.

Short stay on the way to Panama City Beach, FL. As usual found this facility to be in great shape. Per previous comments by another individual, I was able to use my "Senior Pass" formally "America the Beautiful Card" and receive a 50% discount. Improvements around the facility only make this place more outstanding. Short stay waiting out rain on return trip from Florida to South Carolina. Stay was enjoyable and the FAMCAMP was in great shape. Always glad to stop over here for long or short stay. MWR staff are friendly and helpful. Look forward to returning for a longer stay.

Second time for us to visit this facility. Stayed at the "south-side" park. All the positive comments about this great place are true. Sheila is the best Camp Host that we have ever come across and deserves the credit for making this a most enjoyable stay. All of the winter guest that were present during our stay were great. This is our second visit to this facility. Overall not much has changed. This is a very nice campground. We were on site 31 on this trip. The 50 amp power supply did not work, used 30 amp with no problem as the weather was cold and did not need AC. We have a signal booster so lack of good signal for Verizon was not a problem. Agree with previous comments about this facility's location and other amenities such as exchange and commissary. This is a "long term" park as the majority of the sites are permanent residents that rent the spots and use this facility as a base to travel and return to. Once you have a "long term" spot it is yours as long as you pay the fees monthly. A word of caution to RV'ers traveling to this site: NO...

We stayed at the "south" FAMCAMP. The sites are well spaced and the concrete pads are extra large. The only draw back is the lack of shade. Shiela (Camp Host) is the greatest. She makes you feel welcome upon arrival and has activities and lunches planned at local restaurants. The free laundry is a big plus also. We will be returning to this facility in the future.
