$30/night. Long winding twisty entry road. Very curvy in places. Narrow road - about 1-1/2 lanes wide. We came from the direction of Durant OK. Turned off of 69 and drove about 15 miles in various turns. GPS guided us accurately to the campground. -Older campground built in 1950- not a luxurious rv park & has received mixed reviews on this website over the years. It could use some loving care but many of the military RV parks are in...
This campground is way off the beaten path. Plenty space between sites. All sites are gravel and fairly level. Huge area in every site with picnic table and fire ring on each site. FHU. Very quiet area but no shade on most sites. Nice large covered pavilion, which was in the shade. Mark is a nice camp host & helpful. . 4 Washers and dryers, but only 3 worked were free. $35
This is quite a ways off I-40, like about 40 minutes away. Gravel pads, terrible water pressure approx 20PSI, sites fairly close together. Slight view of the lake through the trees. Cabins looked very nice and they line the shore of the lake with good views. RV park did have a bathroom close by which were very old but functional. We had terrible weather while we were there, with tornado sirens going off and tons of rain. Poor drainage around...
Plain rv park. Concrete level pads, small new trees. Difficult time making the reservation as no one answers the phone. For days. Once we were able to make reservations, we were given a site number but once there and set up, were told we were in the wrong site. It worked out ok. No facilities in the campground area. Good water pressure. Approx 12 sites so probably half are full time. Price was $32/night.
There hasn’t been a recent review about this location so I’ll add one. Staying 2 nights here. Located on a large base but far out & very pretty. Site 11 offers a nice view of the pond and next door-base golf course. The RV camp itself is a bit primitive with gravel roads and sites. It’s a hill area so our site was unlevel. Most sites have an older wooden picnic table and an older metal grill. Lots...
Fort Knox Army base about 5 miles away. Nice commissary there. Pretty FamCamp set off main road, but not on base. FHU; gravel pads; pretty surrounding area; fenced dog park; well lighted at night; mostly a quiet area; river behind the FamCamp but can’t see it from the RV park. Our site, #1, was a pull- through but most sites are back-in. Free George Patton Museum is an interesting visit. Washer/dryers are fairly old but $1.00 each. Nice restrooms. We...
What a nice pretty place to stay. Springtime here & everything is green. All sites are back in so there may be some maneuvering to fit. Most sites are narrow but a few sites are long and wide. Water and electric only, which is a negative for a longer stay & the reason I didn’t rate “Amenities/Facilities” higher. 2 pretty lakes in front of each section of RV parking. The first section has asphalt pads and the next section...
We had heard this was a nice place and it really is very nice. Good location in Biloxi and FamCamp located off base. It’s a large park and was very crowded, so reservations are a good idea. No fenced dog bark at Kessler FamCamp, but a large fenced one about 2 blocks away. Office employee was helpful. We didn’t like the first site assignment and she was accommodating in moving us. We would happily stay here again.
We stayed one night in CRobinson. Employee stayed on the phone with us to help navigate to the FamCamp, as signage was poor. Site 22 was a pull through, small concrete pad but worked out fine, FHU, 50amp, with a little view of the lake. Lots of tall trees obstructed a full view. Not many campers there. Security guard lived there and was helpful to us in finding the sewer cap. So so many trees make it shady and...
Large base in Little Rock. Directions to the FamCamp on this site are very good. However right now in 2024, there is a lot of construction on the freeway and some of the exits are closed and it takes a little longer to get to the gate. Camp host was very nice and cleans the restrooms. Reservations are not accepted but we were told sometimes it gets busy during the holidays but never really fills up. RV park...
We’ve stayed twice here. It’s nicely tucked in the midst of shady trees and located on the beach. PT & BI sites. The base itself is great with fitness centers, movie theater, small exchange, PX mall, many beach access locations, beautiful chapel, etc. Happy hour is at 4pm daily! Right across from the RV park is the Naval Aviation Museum and down the street is the Pensacola Lighthouse. We really enjoy our time here and plan to be back...
We stayed two nights here. Pull through concrete site with full hook ups was very nice. New area is a year old with some back ins and a few pull throughs. Clean area with a fairly nice view of a lake, lots of tall pine trees surrounding & throughout the whole base. It was very quiet while we were there but probably more active at other times as it’s a training facility. The new RV area has street lights which...
