This is a great place to chill out for the winter. Stayed last week of Dec 2021 until 1st week of March 2022. Got below freezing a few times in Feb, but not too bad. Love this place, first visit, but will be back. Camp host very friendly, MWR staff very helpful and easy check in. Sites are big rig friendly, level concrete pads. Right on the bay with a lovely walk down the beach. Convenient to town. Commissary is well stocked. Lots of jet noise, but it is a training base, so that is to be expected. Spent 2 weeks here. It was awesome. Base commissary is large and well stocked. The MWR office staff are very friendly and helpful. Easy to get into site. Big Rig friendly, level concrete pads, bath house is clean, they are in the process of replacing the washers and dryers. When we first arrived, only 1 washer and 1 dryer worked.
