I have nothing but good things to say about the Pelican Roost. Second visit to this FamCamp and again had a outstanding time. After camping at a local city campground, we tried to extend our stay there, which became a huge hassle. (Had to break camp just to request an extension at the office which was 2 miles a way). So we decided to take our chances and called the Pelican Roost to see if they could accommodate us with same day notice. WOODY WAS EXCELLENT! He set us up without hesitation. After getting there I thought we were going to get stuck in the back facing the ball fields, but in fact ended up on one of the cement pads. Although in the back we still had a nice view. This is a very well maintained campground with nice views, breeze, close to river entrance and beach. Bathrooms are clean as well as the family center. The pads are nice and level. On the morning of our checkout, there was a nasty storm that rumbled by. I saw very small puddles of water but no site flooding at all. These folks seem to really care about their work. I highly recommend this FamCamp and will most certainly return. BZ!!
