Great little campground on a very quiet base. Stopped for one night. Nothing was open. We went to Outdoor Rec to pay but since it was the weekend, it was closed. We called on Monday when we were on the road and made the $10 payment. Only complaint was the O6 "leaders" who want to be above everyone else and not following the rules. (You really can't enforce rules if the O6's don't want to follow them, right?). This should definitely be an IG complaint. They occupy 2 of the 5 50 AMP sites. Would stop again. We stayed in a 45' 5th wheel and the guards opened the gates for us to get through easily. Restaurants and shopping about 15 minutes from the base.

Our son is stationed at this base, so the location could have not been better. It is quiet (except 1st weekend of the month for drill) and close enough to "town" for all amenities. Previous reviews of the sites are accurate...50A FHU pull-thrus are narrow and the 30A W/E back-ins have more room. The showers & restrooms are immaculate. There is no wi-fi or cable on the site and the amenities are limited on base, but definitely worth the $10/15 a night. The two 5th wheels that are parked permanently in the pull-thrus are active duty Commanders that come and go as they please but are also keep an eye on things (good and bad). Jason from Outdoor Rec could have been nicer. We did have problems with rust in the water which our water filter actually turned rusty. Went to rinse out the water filter at the water hydrate at the next site, only to have rusty water come out immediately which gave away to clean water. We reported the water issue to Jason but one of the Commanders mentioned that the water issue had been a problem for the last year on base.

Very pleased with the facility. Not much there, but made a good over night spot traveling through the area. In my opinion, it was not designed by an experienced camper. Paved section was smooth and level but not even wide enough to comfortably step off from the camper steps. Had to step onto grass. ***** Not a major problem. I won't complain about the high grass just because it is newly opened. They'll get that under control. Dump station was too close to end of loop exit so my truck was out in the connecting road and I have a relatively small camping trailer. (27 ft). "Field House" was just a simple but roomy bath house. SPOTLESS, clean and obviously new. FANTASTIC price!!! If you go there in the near future, they are still getting their ducks in a row. Check-in is at base hotel (Eagle's Nest??)and they were not prepared for my arrival. Initially called Eagle's Nest and was given another number. (See Below) Gate Entrance GPS 41.271886, -80.676386 Check-In at Eagles Nest motel GPS 41.270161, -80.675750 Telephone number for reservation that was given to me by Eagle's Nest 1-330-609-1501
