We will be staying in this area for a couple of weeks visiting my brother in New Braunfels, TX and would like recommendations for the best park to stay at. Thanks.

Over the years we have stayed at all the San Antonio FamCamps. Hands down, our favorite is Ft Sam Houston. Lackland is a bit tight and dated, although we have not been there since they added the new sites. Canyon Lake is great, but some distance from San Antonio. That leaves Ft Sam; large sites and close to downtown. The only drawback is the constant road and base construction. Highly recommend Ft Sam!
