Pretty limited fun area - Starke, Fl - although Ft Blanding is fine to camp/park your RV ....right on a pond.

I'd suggest you make a trip to Gainesville for a day or two if you have the time and toad, or rental auto. College town, and a bit crowded for parking = Gainesville. Good restaurants in old-town areas, good entertainment.

I'd also recommend a couple great wildlife hikes - Sweetwater Wetlands Park, and Payne's Prairie ST Pk..
If you choose Payne's Prairie, be certain to include the boardwalk on the rear side of park - isolated and hard to locate on backside of park, but worth the effort. Lots of birds, wild horses, bison, and wild pigs if you are lucky. PM or email me if you want more info Larry ... I live 90 miles away, and hang out there often.

Camped there once. I made the mistake of going out barefoot and stepping in the sand. Ouch. I didn't know sand could get that hot. Lesson learned. YMMV
