Mar and Sep 2021

We stayed here with our grandson in Mar and Sep 2021 and loved it. Any military campground on the coast with a great view of the ocean would charge $35 a night compared to the $18 charged here. The wind can be a bit much like most of the WA and OR coast but it was not too bad for most of our stay.

No complaints about Camp SLO at all. Great location and price really make this a must stop for military RVers. Pull throughs might be short for some of the bigger rigs (42'+). Making reservations was easy.

Can't add much more than has already been reviewed other than the billeting office is now directly past the entry gate on the right. Rigs must be parked on the right past the billeting office in the dirt field or directly across the street from the office (the left side of the entry gate). No problems making reservations of contacting the office. $15 for full hookups and no need to have to the National Park Access Pass.

Stayed here during the worst covid time in CA but being able to spend the holidays on the beach sure made it easier to deal with. We had reservations at multiple CA state parks on the coast that all got cancelled due to the virus and we were able to make additional reservations at Del Mar when that happened. The price is a little high for a military RV park but it is CA and $43 for a front row...

Stayed here for one night on our way north and we were happy with it overall. Due to COVID, I emailed first and received a reply within a day or two. I then called and got through without a problem to make a reservation. I then got a text from the camp host a day before to make sure we were still coming in. Gave the camp host a call when we were 30 minutes out so they can be...

This was our second stay, so we knew what to expect. I had called a few times before arriving to make sure we had a chance at a site since it's a first come first served system. Each time I had called the office always said they had about 4 or 5 sites available so we felt pretty comfortable getting something. Due to Covid, showers and bathrooms were closed but the laundry facility was open.

We stayed at this Famcamp for a few days as we meander up the coast to WA. We could have easily made it to Camp SLO but we wanted to check out this base and cut down on some costs before we headed further north. We had initially thought about reserving a hookup site but when we saw the weather was going to be in the low 70's during the day we opted for the dry camping area. This...

We "checked in" from the RV park instead of driving the rig to the office. I later went over to the office to sign the paperwork. That saved us a hassle in trying to turn our RV and toad. The site (46) was good (concrete pad) and shaded by trees although not all sites are the same. The trees have a lot if foliage that seem to attract a gnat looking insect that can be a nuisance but don't...

I read some of the recent reviews and I suggest that anyone who posts a comment also go to the ICE (Interactive Customer Evaluation) website to review or try to get some action on military Famcamps, RV Parks or Campgrounds. Most military customer service activities can be found there. https://ice.disa.mil/index.cfm?fa=card&sp=80316&s=188&dep=*DoD&sc=15 This site is the electronic form of the comment card and goes directly to the unit and presumably the commander will see it. Go to the Base/Post etc, "Recreation",...

We stayed at Camp Rilea for about two weeks as we toured the area to the north and south. This campground is ideally located for that as driving to the WA coast or northern OR coast are easily accessible. I can't add anything more here that others have already posted but I can say the laundry facilities are not free. If someone leaves the door to that area open, then anyone can walk in and do laundry for free....
