Barren is the best word to describe this Park. Bringing in an Engineer Unit for their Annual Training to fix this Park up would be a good move. The distance from the front gate is long and the route is not well marked. The sites are not well marked either and in dire need of upgrading. The price is right considering the overall condition, but improvements could allow for an increase in rates. I had no problem figuring out...

Stayed here for two full months and will be returning in a week or so for another extended stay, (getting Dental work done at David Grant). This RV Park is almost unnoticeable, (I'd been here numerous times over the years and didn't realize it's right inside the gate). Most of the spots in this park have seen better days as the grass has been let go, I believe due to the drought. The spots are gravel with a concrete...

Hadn't been here since '76 when I got commissioned here. Known back then as the California Military Academy, it is also where Actor Tom Selleck recieved his commission. There are only a couple of the two person huts that we stayed in still on Post, but they bring back memories. I digress, the RV Park is great as all the spaces are pull throughs. There is also a bathroom/shower house right in the RV Park. As you pull in...

Stayed here twice, once for about 15 days and again for just two. This is by far the nicest MWR Park I have been to. All concrete pads, free laundry & showers, full hook-ups and an RV wash facility, small exchange on base as well. Proximity to local business is great and Seal Beach Pier for fishing, (no license required for pier fishing, but watch out for those sting rays, got nailed in a flash trying to release one)....

A little hard to find and get to the entrance, but worth it. Although my reservation was for 7 days with 3 moves, (office staff was very helpful to get me in), I was able to arrange a deal with another patron that allowed me to stay in one spot the whole time. The County Fair was going on the week I was there, so the driving range was not available during that time as they were using it...

This Park is absolutely awsome if you are equipped to dry camp, and contrary to a previous comment, you would be hard pressed to find a less expensive spot in San Diego, or elsewhere for that matter, (obviously that person has not stayed at many MWR facilities). The location here is fantastic and there is a small beach on the other side of the building, if you have your own kayak or paddleboard, or you can rent them at...

As with all Navy run RV Parks this one charges a higher nightly rate. To the comments made regarding pests, I was there for a month, (Oct), and had no problem with ants or mice. The squirrels however were quite prevelant. For those having problems, stringing lights that flash along the undercarriage of your rig is cheaper than calling out the pest control people. And for ants, I carry "Home Defense" in my trailer which has served me well...
