ABSOLUTELY stay here if you pass through the Jacksonville area. Campground was really full but we had a nice long level pad to sit on. Facilities and "lodge" were perfect, nice large laundry room looked brand new and the price was free to wash and dry! With a large capacity washer we were able to wash a few blankets.

Stationed here many years back, we stopped in to meet with friends from many years ago. Stayed two nights because of its location. Made an easy trip to Foley AL for Lamberts Cafe "Home of the throwed rolls". Worth every cent to eat a meal there! Pulled in early evening. The place was completely silent, barely anyone around. A few campers around a few sites. Nice place. A good spot between Charleston SC and Pensacola FL.

On our way from ME to FL, we stopped in Charleston to see some old co-workers. We pulled into the fam camp around 10pm. Circled around and meet the camp host. He said there were no sites available for the night which was ok since there are 2 other fam camps in the area and without reservations we were just tossing the dice anyway. After a few minutes discussing where we were coming from and heading...

We headed south from Maine to FL for a friends wedding. Our first stop was in Annapolis. I lived across the street years ago so I knew where to find the campground. Even then it was still a bit difficult to find. The sign pointing into the camp was overgrown and barely seen from the road, plus it points you down a gravel road that barely looks like a road at all. We would stay again...
