Most of the other reviews are right on. In a Nutshell: Difficult parking, Hard to find, Poor Access (rough, rough, roads). The wifi was good, the area was clean, it was VERY hard to find, and there were dammed rough roads getting there. They will shake your eye teeth out. The staff was friendly. Mowing the grass at 7:30 in the morning was a bit early. The 30 amp sites (1-10) are DAMMED short and there is NO parking...

We had better luck with the water than the earlier reviewer, as all was working that we could tell. We didn't note a lot of dust, no more that any place else in Alaska with the eternal gravel parking areas. We did have a bear warning issued but alas, saw none. A fox was noted however. We did encounter a lot of aircraft noise though, an C-17 doing touch and goes, and flights of fighters doing their thing, an annoyance...

We normally stay here when we are in the Seattle area. The park is very quiet and you normally can get reservations. 30 amps work well enough for our rig. The view of the lake for the "temporary" guests is great. There are a large number of semi-permanent residents but they are not allowed to stay on the lake for more than 2 weeks. The rate is good for a full hook-up and base security is excellent. A large number...

Access is via a long relatively narrow, gravel, "street" that has some potholes. The baths were clean but unheated and dammed cold. There was no wifi but Verizon and AT+T both had good reception. Our arrival was warm welcome and very friendly, helpful check in. Alisa @ MWR was most helpful in getting our aquarium tickets. The golf course is closed due to a long term renovation so if your a golfer please check before coming...

Rocky Point is a dry camping park, first come, first served. It is located outside the regular base perimeter, no gate guards. The sites are spacious, widely separated, and somewhat remote. The access roads are gravel and sign-in is at the Duffers Golf Club house. We never saw the CG host or any base personnel other than the Club Pro who signed us in. Several of the rigs seemed to be just "stored" there as we never...

A very restful, peaceful place. This is our 2nd trip. Highly recommend reservations, particularly if its near a weekend. Satellite TV is marginal at best. Our Verizon air card worked this year, as did our AT+T cell phones. There are only 4 full hookups here with the camp host having one of them. The park is VERY laid back and the views are magnificent. Our cat was greatly disturbed by the smell of the coyotes who apparently...

We spent 4 days here. The park, including the baths and laundry, contrary to some previous comments, were clean and not decrepit as some earlier comments indicated. The park was a bit pricey for not being a full hook-up (in comparison to other military parks), and there was no beach access and very little view of the ocean. However it was $10 cheaper than Pacific Beach State Park just down the road which offered only electric if...
