Review Detail

This was our first time at a Military campground and I don't believe we could have picked a better one for our first. We made our reservations a week in advance so we were not on the "front row". We were in site #29 and it was perfect. I really didn't see any bad sites in the campground at all. The check-in process went great. The young lady checking us in answered all our questions and was extremely nice. All the staff we met were very friendly and always spoke. The bathouse and showers were clean and in good working order. The free laundry and ice were very appreciated. The NEX and Commissary are located off Base but not out of the way and are very well stocked. There is a well stocked mini-NEX just a couple of streets behind the campground. The wife and grandaughter enjoyed the on base pool. For me, seeing the Navy Ships coming and going was a real treat. We look forward to visiting the Pelican Roost again real soon.
