Since our last stay the National Guard has upgraded all the electrical hook-ups from 20amp to 50 amp service. They have installed partitions in the male latrine to take it from a 1940's open style community bathroom. As stated in another post, a new dining facility is open to retiree's and meals are $5 for B/L or Dinner. In 2010 they plan to move the PX from it's current location to a larger facility across the street. Hopefully more usage will increase the profits as well as increase the hours of operation. The National Guard was unable to purchase materials to expand the water/sewer hook-ups. Had they been able to purchase the materials, they would then have coordinated for Air Force Prime Beet to install the hook-ups during their AT at CSLO. What a nice project for a local veterans group or philanthropy, raise and donate about 65K and re-dedicate the park to those who serve!
