We came for the beach and were delighted! The campground has older hookups - either 50A or 30A but not both. Some of the sites are difficult to get into due to space limitations. For the little we used them, the bath house appeared clean and in good repair. The adjacent hotel lobby has limited snacks, and a laundry facility. Immediately adjacent to the campground is the base engine test cell, and they tested Allison T56 turboprops twice during our month stay. Noisy, but nothing compared to a jet engine. The campground is under the flight pattern, but again just turboprop aircraft. There is no commissary on base, it's over at Port Hueneme, about a 15 minute drive away. If you're into farm fresh produce, this area has numerous roadside stands and a couple farmer's markets. We would come again for the beach.
