BZ to Becky & Sheila at MWR. They were vert professional and courteous assigning us a site . The renovation is well worth the wait. All new washers & dryers at $2.00 each .great place to stop visiting family. Beware the gate entry has been modified ,go slow.up to the new inspection station. 60 day maximum stay, must rotate out of spot . Large pull thru's, but no shade.back ins plenty of room.shall return ,thanks.

My girl and I had an awesome time here. We had to share water hookup but no issue there either. Bathrooms/showers were clean too. They are going thru some rework to improve the camp ground. Wish they would leave some of ther trees and just trim them up. We did have to look around for a site to fit the 37 foot RV but that was all good. Bowling Green is just down the road (5 min) with a Food lion, Dollar General and Family Dollar. There are 3 Walmart about 30-40 min away in various directions (King George, Ashland, Fredericksburg, info in the bath house lounge area). We talked about it and would stay here again. Park closing in mid July for tree removal.

This is a well kept secret. We had a change of plans when Lunga Park at Quantico was closed for an ordinance sweep and were able to get a site at Champs Camp. There are 30/50 amp sites with full hookups that are large, shady and close to the showers, laundry and bathroom facilities. With the Golden Age Passport the price cannot be beat. Great base from which to visit Civil War locations, ie, Chambersburg, Spotsylvania and the Wilderness. There is small PX on base and a supermarket in town. Great walking trails and swimming pool. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is off the beaten path but worth the effort!!

This famcamp was a real pleasant surprise. We tried to get into Lunga but it was closed, but this somewhat remote location was so quiet that in this east coast congestion it was very restful. Only a few 50 amp sites, but we lucked out and got satellite too. Would definitely go back.
