This was our first trip ever... brand new travel trailer.... total newbies! We are so happy we picked this facility for our maiden voyage. "T" and Allen were very gracious campground hosts and helped us immensely with questions and "issues" with our new RV. The campground and facilities were VERY clean. We did find the WiFi signal to be a little weak, especially at peak usage times. Joint Base Charleston (ex Charleston AFB) is a great facility - small, modern, never congested. There is, of course, noise from the C-17's based there and adjacent Charleston Airport. We also grew accustomed to the daily reville, retreat and taps played over the loudspeaker system (M-F). The sounds of freedom! As others have noted, the Moultrie area is for long term campers, up to one year. Can't say as we agree with folks staying that long but someone in a much higher pay grade than us makes that decision! If you are active like us you will love this area. We rode our bikes and roller bladed on JB Charleston and rode bikes at the Marrington Multi-Use Trail near the JB Charleston Weapons Station (awesome 13-mile mountain bike trail thru woods and marsh...). We kayaked on Shem Creek in nearby Mount Pleasant. We also put our kayaks in on Foster Creek within the Marrington Multi-Use area but did not stay out long - LOTS of alligators! We are experienced kayakers but were not comfortable with so many of those critters around. Bottom line - great campground, great area! Even if the campground is full they will find someplace for you to stay. Thanks "T" and Allen for all of our help! The Yank & The Brit
