Very nice. But the nice lady at the mail service window explained at great length the forwarding address needs to include c/o FAMCAMP as well as name and 100 N Chennault.

D.B. left this review using the Directory software: - Beautiful base. Great walking and biking place. There are many parks on the base, only wish it looked like that at the rv park. That was the only downside. Good laundry facilities too.

I think the directions for getting to the base from the east are a bit incomplete. We turned when we got to Hayford Road as the directions seemed to say. In fact, we should have kept going straight. Otherwise, the directions were great. This is a good FAMCAMP that is located in an open, level area. Some sites are shaded but we chose one with no trees for our satellite reception as there is no cable TV. The restrooms and showers are new and clean. Wi-Fi reception was great and easy to use. Because of the type of aircraft assigned to the base are quiet, we had a pleasant evening. We stayed only one night so we have no feel for shopping and entertainment.

We have came to this rv park the last two years. Great camp host, Clean park, Big rv spots, We have parked under the trees and in the open area both good, The only problem under the trees is if you have roof mount sat. Not to far from a Wal-Mart and other shopping. Will be back next year.

Great Famcamp, host Brenda very personable and helpful. We had not visited Fairchild previously and found the Famcamp to be very pleasantly located. We also enjoyed the relative quiet after staying at several Walmarts during our travels. The park has strong wifi, which worked very well for us. The only negative (for us) was that there are no shopping facilities nearby (BX/Commissary/Shopette, etc.) We will definitely stay here again. Traveling in a motorhome.
Sept 13 - 18, 2011
G.R. left this review using the Directory software - Brenda (Camp Host) very friendly and helpful.
Aug 29 - Sept 4, 2011
Camp host made the week stay very pleasant. She gave us lots of good local advice and helped make our stay enjoyable. FamCamp is close enough to the freeway to make this a convenient overnight stop. Strong Wifi signal.
August 4 & 5, 2011
A wonderful host made this stay so nice! She gave us all kinds of good information and told us to be sure to use the chow hall. She was right, the chow hall was very good! Facilities are well kept up. I highly recommend this FamCamp.

We liked FAFB Famcamp and will be back again. Brenda does a great job of welcoming you into the park and it is very smoothly run. Can't beat the value at $17/night. I like the ability to wash the RV once while at the RV campground. We found the base to be great. For satellite TV, you may want to pick a site without the trees. That was not a problem since there were plenty.

This Famcamp has everything I need. The sites were spacious, the Camp Host and crew kept the park very well, and the location (for the cost) was excellent for me to see my relatives in Spokane & Cheney. I liked that a person can stay for an extended length of time (just pay the fees...). I may decide to visit again next summer and stay for an extended period of time.
4-7 May 2011
G.R. left this review using the Directory software: Camp host very helpful. Some of sites are not available at this time. Camp host does not have phone access at the spot that they are in at present.
July 5-11 2010
Nice clean park, friendly host, great pull-through sites. We took site #2 across from the bathhouse and liked the shady site. Base has great commissary and BX,and overall the place looks very neat and clean. By the way, there is base map of Fairchild AFB, WA available at

Enjoyed our visit and would return. 50 amp is thru-out the park and we stayed on older side and liked the trees better. The is plenty of dog walking area and paths. Recycling is at the RV park, no diesel on base -but available right down the road from front gate and unfortunately retirees aren't permitted to eat at the dining hall. Only two washers and two dryers so you might have to wait...
Hard-working hosts this summer. p.s City Auto Body shop down the road is super place for service if you need body work repairs on your RV!!!! ask for Brent
Sep 1-14, 2009
Easy to find, easy to access, and staffed by helpful hosts. Since they don't take reservations, we called ahead and then again before leaving the interstate to confirm availability; Connie was very helpful and gracious in taking our calls. Since our last visit, a dike has been built around the Famcamp shielding it from the housing area, which gives a bit more privacy then before. Verizon cell and AirCard worked well throughout our visit, and the WiFi was generally very good. The only negatives are the location of the base and the shoddiness of the surrounding area, and the constant need to water the grass, leaving garden hoses laying everywhere and often spraying your vehicles. A great value and a nice place to stay.
20 Aug-3 Sep 2009
Nice level gravel sites w/ tables, utilities nicely located -- would be great if there were grills in new area. Good WIFI when it works, but it did drop out on me several times and was down for about 48 hours the day after we arrived. I used my Verizon broadband with excellent signal. Camp hosts are very helpful & attentive.
August 3 - 4, 2009
Nice camp ground, need larger bath & laundry with the number of sites. Only negative is the over active watering between pads. We had to wade to get out of our MH. Went to the BX and when we got back out pad was flooded. At the least inconsiderate and the most very rude. Other than that we had a good visit.

We were greeted by very gracious, friendly and helpful hosts. Stopped for only one night but have loved to stay longer, great campgrounds.
13-14 Aug 2008
Again, 'first impressions are the lasting ones'!! The camp hosts were very helpful and informative. It is apparent the hosts take pride in the service they provide. Green grass in a desert attests to their efforts! Just staying for a few nights still awarded me with a shaded site! Long term campers apparently are grouped together on one side of the camp [which is to be expected]. The restrooms, showers were clean, and well maintained. My stay was enjoyable.
28 Aug-1 Sep 08
As previously stated camp hosts are quick to meet and greet. I was briefed on the campground and base. I found the campground to be in good shape and the bathroom and laundry to be adequate. New washers and dryers @ $0.75 a shot. Plenty of room for pets, around the campground or the greener grass across the street. I have a 40' motorhome with toad and didn't have any problem with the 130 degree turn coming in. The base is small and there's a short drive to BX/Commissary. Definitely will return when in area.
